Intermediate Data Engineer

As an Intermediate Data Engineer within Assent's data products team, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our modern data stack. Your responsibilities will include integrating enterprise systems, building robust data pipelines, and delivering actionable insights and metrics that support Assent's strategic goals. You will be expected to manage moderately complex data challenges from conception through to completion, ensuring data quality and integrity throughout the lifecycle. Key responsibilities include contributing to data hygiene and stewardship best practices, participating in the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines using Fivetran, dbt, Snowflake, and Hightouch, and adhering to coding standards established by senior engineers. You will independently solve moderate complexity data puzzles through design and engineering, conduct reverse ETL processes to operationalize metrics and system elements, and analyze datasets to inform business decisions, often acting as a data analyst to provide deeper insights. Collaboration with internal stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Customer Success is essential to ensure data accuracy and quality. You will also support internal process improvements, including automation of manual tasks and optimization of data delivery, assist in developing standards for data processes, and create functional and technical documentation for data solutions. Additionally, you will support business operations in identifying, defining, and automating key metrics and contribute to the creation of functional and technical documentation for data solutions.
