Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join the Global Capability Center team in Chennai. In this hands-on role, you will ensure system reliability, availability, and operational excellence for highly scalable global platforms using Azure cloud infrastructure.Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high availability of large-scale, business-critical systems across production environments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents while participating in on-call rotations to ensure 24x7 support readiness.
- Define and track SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and drive preventive actions through root cause analysis (RCA).
- Build automation scripts, runbooks, and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform or ARM templates.
- Manage containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes to optimize performance and resilience.
- Collaborate globally with engineering, platform, and security teams on capacity planning and failover testing.
Mandatory Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Production Engineering roles.
- Strong proficiency with Linux/Unix systems and scripting languages (Python, Go, Java, Bash).
- Hands-on expertise in Azure Cloud, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools like Prometheus/Grafana/Datadog.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code principles to manage scalable environments efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Global Capability Centers (GCC) or global delivery models.
- Certifications in Cloud computing, Kubernetes, or SRE best practices.
- Knowledge of FinOps and cost optimization strategies for cloud environments.
