About The Role
Project Role: Infrastructure Engineer
Project Role Description: Assist in defining requirements, designing and building data center technology components, and conducting testing efforts.
Minimum Experience: 7.5 years of experience is required.
Educational Qualification: 15 years of full-time education.
Summary
We are seeking a Network SME with extensive expertise in designing, deploying, configuring, and supporting Cisco SD-WAN components, including vManage, vSmart, vBond, and WAN Edge devices. The ideal candidate will be skilled in large-scale branch onboarding and migrations from MPLS to Internet/Hybrid WAN, possessing strong troubleshooting capabilities for overlay, control, and data plane issues. Proficiency in traffic engineering, QoS, encryption, and application-aware routing, along with centralized policy optimization, is essential. Experience in stakeholder engagement, providing technical inputs, reviewing designs, and implementing necessary changes is also required. The role involves Tier-3 operational support, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while ensuring compliance with enterprise security and availability standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
Cisco SD-WAN
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with end-to-end technical expertise in the design, deployment, configuration, and operational support of Cisco SD-WAN components: vManage, vSmart, vBond, and WAN Edge (ISR, ASR, vEdge, cEdge).
- Lead large-scale branch onboarding and migrations from MPLS to Internet/Hybrid WAN.
- Troubleshoot complex overlay, control plane, and data plane issues.
- Manage traffic forwarding, QoS, encryption, and path selection.
- Collaborate with client SMEs for stakeholder discussions, provide technical inputs, review design aspects, and execute design changes.
- Configure and optimize Application-Aware Routing (AAR), Centralized policies (control, data, and application policies), Traffic engineering, and failover.
Operations & Support
- Provide Tier-3 / SME-level operational support for Cisco SD-WAN and SD-Access.
- Drive troubleshooting calls to resolution with strong technical acumen and communication skills.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical network incidents.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.
- Support change management, maintenance windows, and upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security and availability standards.
Cisco SD-Access
- Design and deploy Cisco SD-Access fabric architecture.
- Configure and manage Fabric Edge, Control Plane, and Border Nodes, L2/L3 Virtual Networks (VNs), Scalable Group Tags (SGT), and policy-based segmentation.
- Implement identity-based access control using Cisco ISE.
- Integrate SD-Access with wireless (Cisco Catalyst 9800 / AireOS) and campus switching (Catalyst 9K).
- Troubleshoot fabric, policy, and endpoint onboarding issues.
Cisco DNA Center / Catalyst Center
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Cisco DNA Center (Catalyst Center).
- Use DNA Center for Fabric automation and provisioning, Policy configuration and assurance, and Network analytics and health monitoring.
- Perform software upgrades, image management, and backups.
- Customize workflows and integrate via APIs where required.
Cisco ACI & Wireless
- Design and deploy ACI fabric architecture with spine-leaf topology.
- Configure APIC controllers, spine/leaf switches, EPGs, VRFs, Bridge Domains, Contracts, and Filters.
- Implement policy-based automation for security and connectivity.
- Troubleshoot ACI fabric connectivity issues (spine/leaf, overlay, VXLAN).
- Resolve Cisco wireless issues including RF interference, controller/AP configuration, roaming problems, security authentication failures (802.1X, WPA2/3), and client connectivity troubleshooting.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco SD-WAN, SD-Access, DNA Center, ACI, and Wireless technologies.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting vManage, vSmart, vBond, WAN Edge devices.
- Deep understanding of overlay networks, control/data plane operations, QoS, encryption, and path selection.
- Expertise in fabric architecture design and policy-based segmentation.
- Skilled in integrating Cisco ISE for identity-based access control.
- Familiarity with API integrations and workflow customization in DNA Center.
