About the Role
We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer for a Fortune 200 company building its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in India. You will help stand up and run the infrastructure backbone from the ground up, working remotely within India.
Role Overview
You will design, build, and maintain the servers, networks, and virtualisation layer that keep enterprise systems running reliably for global operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Build & Operations: Manage server, storage, and virtualisation infrastructure; handle networking, firewalls, and connectivity across environments.
- Automation & Reliability: Automate tasks via scripting/configuration management tools; monitor health/alerts/incidents;
- Maintenance: Keep documentation, diagrams, and SOPs up to date.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone with 3-8 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or systems administration. Essential skills include Linux/Windows server admin, virtualisation (VMware), enterprise networking, and strong English communication skills suitable for remote work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Public cloud exposure (Azure/AWS)
- ITIL certification
- Experience with Ansible or similar tools
