Senior Systems Engineer - Hybrid Chennai

Join a leading financial services technology provider, Kiya.ai, as a Senior Systems Engineer in our Chennai office. This hybrid role is within the BNP Paribas Fortis, CBPS Transversal Capabilities & Functions department, offering a dynamic environment for skilled IT professionals.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to manage critical CI/CD, database operations, system administration, and monitoring tasks within a demanding banking IT landscape. You will operate within an Agile framework, contributing to the reliability and efficiency of our systems.

Key Responsibilities

CI/CD & Automation

• Maintain and enhance Jenkins pipelines for builds, testing, and deployments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve CI/CD pipeline failures, coordinating with relevant teams.
• Develop and maintain runbooks, documenting incidents for effective Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Manage deployment errors and conduct post-mortem analyses to prevent recurrence.

Database Management (Oracle / SQL Server)

• Develop, write, and debug SQL queries and scripts.
• Monitor and optimize performance for SQL Server and Oracle databases.
• Perform essential DBA activities including user management and access control.
• Provide support for SSIS, SSRS, and reporting functionalities.

System Administration & Monitoring

• Monitor the health of servers, networks, and applications.
• Perform Windows and Linux system administration tasks.
• Manage patch deployments and access control for systems.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for system incidents.
• Support and maintain IIS, ARR, and Apache web servers.

Collaboration & Documentation

• Manage tickets within SharePoint and ServiceNow (SNOW).
• Prepare comprehensive technical analysis documentation.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure adherence to banking compliance standards.

Technical Skills (Must Have)

• Windows & Linux Server Administration
• Active Directory, DNS
• Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, Command Line
• Web Servers: IIS, ARR, Apache
• Databases & Reporting: SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI
• CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, Git

Technical Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience with banking collaboration tools
• Proficient documentation skills
