Infra DevOps Engineer

About the Role:

As a DevOps Engineer in Mumbai, India, you will collaborate with our international teams to understand business and technical requirements. Your role will involve formulating infrastructure and resource plans to ensure the growth and maintainability of various systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage diverse development, testing, and automation tools, alongside IT infrastructure.
• Contribute to team planning, activity coordination, and project management.
• Understand customer requirements and project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Manage stakeholders and external relationships effectively.
• Set up essential tools and infrastructure to support project development.
• Define and establish robust DevOps processes for development, testing, release, updates, and support.
• Provide technical expertise for software code review, verification, and validation.
• Engage in software engineering tasks, focusing on designing and developing systems for enhanced reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency through automation.
• Partner with agile teams to equip them with the necessary tools for seamless code writing, testing, and deployment, fostering satisfaction among development and QA teams.
• Monitor processes throughout their lifecycle, ensuring adherence, identifying improvement areas, and minimizing waste.
• Champion and implement automated processes wherever feasible.
• Identify and deploy cybersecurity measures through continuous vulnerability assessments and risk management.
• Handle incident management and conduct root cause analysis for ongoing improvement.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively within the team and with customers.
• Build and maintain continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) environments, including associated processes and tools.

Qualifications:

About the Candidate:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with Linux-based infrastructure and proficiency in scripting languages.
• Solid cloud computing skills, including network management, cloud computing, and cloud databases, with expertise in at least one public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Hands-on experience in setting up and managing cloud infrastructure such as Kubernetes, VPC, VPN, Virtual Machines, and Cloud Databases.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Hands-on experience in coding and scripting in at least one of the following: Shell, Python, or Groovy.
• Previous experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar software engineering role.
• Proven experience in establishing optimized CI/CD environments relevant to project needs.
• Proficiency in automation using scripting languages like Perl/Python and shell scripts such as BASH and CSH.
• Good knowledge of configuration and build tools like Bazel and Jenkins.
• Good knowledge of repository management tools like Git and Bitbucket.
• Good knowledge of monitoring solutions and generating insights for reporting.
• Excellent debugging skills and strategies.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
