Full Job Description
As an Information Security Analyst at Smarsh, you will evaluate the cybersecurity and third-party risk posture of clients in highly regulated industries. Your role involves using advanced Vendor Risk Management (VRM) and Cybersecurity Compliance platforms to ensure vendor environments meet rigorous security standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Risk Advisory: Review vendor risk by assessing security documentation and assessments, delivering actionable recommendations to enhance client risk postures.
- Technical Security Assessments: Conduct comprehensive vulnerability scans and penetration tests using industry-leading tools like Nessus, Metasploit, or Cobalt Strike.
- Vulnerability Reporting: Create detailed technical reports categorizing vulnerabilities and providing remediation strategies.
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as a subject matter expert, guiding clients through platform features and cybersecurity best practices via phone and email.
- Operational Leadership: Manage client engagements, deliver due diligence reports, and contribute to improving Smarsh’s VRM team operations.
Requirements include 3–5 years of experience in Vendor Risk Management or Information Security. Relevant certifications (e.g., CTPRP, CISA, CISM, CRISC) are highly desirable. Technical proficiency in security tooling, TCP/IP networking, server administration, and AI/ML tools is required. Familiarity with Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Office Suite, and MS Teams is also needed. The role emphasizes using AI for automation, strategic optimization, and continuous learning to adapt to evolving threat landscapes.
