Full Job Description
Welocalize is seeking an Information Security Analyst to join our team in Noida, India. As a vital member of our Information Security team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our critical systems and data. This entry to mid-level position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with 1-3 years of experience in information security or related fields, who are eager to grow and develop their expertise. You will work closely with the Information Security Manager, contributing to the continuous improvement of our robust security and privacy programs.
This role provides broad exposure to all facets of information security and involves collaboration with colleagues across various international locations and organizational levels. Strong emotional intelligence, professionalism, and effective communication skills are essential for success in this dynamic role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor security systems, tools, and dashboards to detect and analyze potential threats or vulnerabilities.
- Serve as a first responder to cyber alerts and incidents identified by information security tools.
- Assist in the comprehensive analysis and investigation of security alerts, incidents, and potential data breaches.
- Conduct vulnerability scans and support the implementation of remediation strategies for identified risks.
- Aid in the maintenance and enforcement of established security policies, procedures, and controls.
- Support the development and execution of employee security awareness programs.
- Assist in the management of user access controls and conduct periodic account reviews.
- Accurately document and maintain records of security incidents and the actions taken.
- Collaborate effectively with IT teams to ensure all systems adhere to security standards and best practices.
- Continuously stay informed about the latest cybersecurity trends, tools, and techniques.
- Identify opportunities to develop and implement automations, integrations, and workflows for security monitoring, alerting, reporting, and remediation.
- Contribute to internal and external information security and privacy audits.
- Support security awareness training initiatives and participate in phishing campaigns.
- Keep abreast of relevant industry developments and provide recommendations to enhance company security and prevent unauthorized system or data access.
- Provide support for Privacy Program requirements as needed.
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field is required. Alternatively, equivalent work experience of 2+ years in a relevant field will be considered.
- Possess a foundational understanding of essential cybersecurity concepts, common threats, and protective controls.
- Prior experience with security tools or technologies such as antivirus, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR/XDR), or Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) is considered a plus.
Desired Skills:
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative member of a team.
- Familiarity with recognized security frameworks, such as ISO 27001.
- A basic understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security principles.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or similar are preferred but not mandatory.
