Information Security Analyst - Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune

Join a leading organization as an Information Security Analyst in Hyderabad, Chennai, or Pune. This role is crucial for monitoring security alerts, responding to incidents, and proactively identifying and mitigating threats.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents, ensuring prompt action against potential threats.
Conduct threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to uncover security weaknesses.
Perform regular security audits and risk assessments to maintain a strong security posture.
Analyze security breaches to determine root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
Assist in or lead efforts to isolate, contain, respond to, and recover from security incidents.
Identify, review, prioritize, plan, coordinate, and follow up on the remediation of vulnerabilities.
Manage security alerts from the Group-Wide CSIRT team and various security tools (e.g., endpoint security, network security, IDR, DLP, SIEM).
Configure and maintain essential security technologies including SIEM, endpoint security, and intrusion detection/prevention systems, potentially involving scripting and automation.
Develop and implement robust security policies, procedures, and protocols.
Review systems and configurations for compliance with ION standards, client requirements, audit controls, regulations, and industry best practices.
Respond to information security-related inquiries and requests efficiently.
Collaborate with Engineering teams and other departments to integrate security measures into product delivery and organizational processes.
Provide security training and best practice recommendations to Engineering and other teams.
Stay current with the latest security trends, technologies, and emerging threats.
Prepare and present comprehensive reports on security incidents and mitigation efforts to management.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, with a specialization in Information Security.
A minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Security Analyst or in a similar capacity.
Strong understanding of security protocols, systems, and methodologies.
Proficiency in fundamental programming/scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
Experience with security tools including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards like GDPR and ISO 27001.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are considered a significant advantage.
