Industrial Automation Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our Engineering/Projects team. This role is critical for the design, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and support of industrial automation systems within Oil & Gas and Pharma sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Development: Design and develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications using Siemens TIA Portal (WinCC Professional/Comfort) and Rockwell Studio 5000 RSLogix environments.
• Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical documents including FDS, I/O Lists, Cause & Effect Matrices, and FAT/SAT reports. Generate as-built documentation and support reports.
• Programming & Configuration: Program Siemens PLCs (S7-1200, S7-1500, ET200) and Allen-Bradley platforms (ControlLogix/CompactLogix). Configure industrial communication protocols including PROFINET, PROFIBUS, Modbus, and OPC UA.
• Commissioning: Execute loop checking, FAT/SAT activities, onsite commissioning, and provide remote/customer support. Knowledge of PCS 7 or Plant Pax is highly advantageous.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in industrial automation with hands-on project experience.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in PLC/HMI/SCADA development, electrical drawing interpretation, and P&ID reading.
• Soft Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities and excellent communication skills. Willingness to travel for site commissioning is required.
