IN_DCIN_Field Service Engineer

This Field Service Engineer role in Delhi, India, focuses on the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Rexroth Hagglunds Drive systems within various industrial sectors, including Power Plants, Steel Plants, Cement Plants, Ports, and Sugar Plants. Key responsibilities include providing customer service support under Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), troubleshooting hydraulic drive systems, conducting root cause analysis of technical issues, and performing minor on-site repairs. The role requires a proactive approach to learning new technologies and strict adherence to company processes and compliance. Field service engineers will also monitor competitor activities, generate after-market business by promoting repair services, spare parts sales, and equipment retrofits/upgrades. Collaboration with service colleagues and the sales team is essential, as is providing technical training to customers and generating service awareness to create ownership of hydraulic equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and commission Rexroth Hagglunds Drive systems in Power Plants, Steel Plants, Cement Plants, Ports, and Sugar Plants.
• Provide customer service support for Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) at client sites.
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for technical problems with Hydraulic Drive Systems on-site.
• Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to new technologies and processes.
• Adhere strictly to internal company processes, compliances, and guidelines.
• Perform minor repair activities on hydraulic drive systems at customer locations.
• Monitor competitor activities in the market during customer visits.
• Generate After Market business through End Users and OEMs, promoting Repair Services, Spares sales, and equipment retrofits/upgrades.
• Collaborate closely with other service engineers and the sales team.
• Provide technical training to customers on installation and maintenance topics.
• Generate service awareness among End Users and foster a sense of ownership for their hydraulic equipment.

Qualifications:

• Essential Educational Qualification: Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
• Preferred Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 2 – 5 years.

Required Knowledge/Specialization/Experience:

• Basic fundamental knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• Understanding of hydraulic components and their working principles.
• Knowledge of hydraulic circuits.
• Previous working experience with Hagglunds/Rexroth/Hydac drive systems is preferred.
• Experience in the Power, Steel, Cement industries, or with Hydraulic Servicing organizations in North India is preferred.
