We are seeking a dynamic Engineering Application Engineer (Motion Control) to join our team in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. In this role, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts on a technical level, providing essential support to the sales team in generating RFQs, and conducting qualification and risk assessments for new opportunities. Your pre-order responsibilities will include developing techno-commercial proposals and necessary documentation such as schematics and BOMs. Post-order, you will manage technical aspects and documentation for customer approval, liaising effectively with customers, internal cross-functional teams (CFTs), business units (BUs), and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.

You will also support the service team in commissioning, product lifecycle management, and retrofitting, and be involved in proving out concepts and prototyping with thorough documentation. Project documentation, including loss order analysis and lessons learned, will be a key part of your role. You will continuously strive to improve the techno-commercial competitiveness of applications, promoting value engineering and value-addition through value selling concepts. Furthermore, you will actively develop and promote future technologies, products, and solutions, and conduct technical training and awareness sessions. This position also involves driving process automation, improvement, optimization, and waste elimination to increase efficiency and enhance response and output times. You will participate in opportunity pipeline reviews and maintain data accuracy in CRM/ProMIS.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) in Electronics/EEE.
• Minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills/Knowledge:

• Proficiency in PLC programming using ladder language; ST programming is an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of servo drives, servo motors, CNC, and motion controllers.
• Experience with HMI programming and SCADA programming.
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as Profinet, Ethercat, Ethernet IP, Modbus, and OPC-UA.
• Basic understanding of automotive, printing, and packaging industry sectors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
• Basic knowledge of AC drives, VFDs, and induction motor operation.
• Understanding of electrical wiring and switchgear within machine panels, along with troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of IT languages like C, C++, Python, Matlab, or Java is an added advantage.
• Preferable experience in Printing and Packaging verticals with hands-on experience with Motion Controllers.
