Imaging Fulfillment Specialist - Diagnostic Radiology in Little Rock, AR

CARTI, a premier cancer care clinic in Little Rock, Arkansas, is seeking a dedicated Imaging Fulfillment Specialist to join our Diagnostic Radiology department. This vital role involves the meticulous management and processing of medical records and imaging requests. You will ensure the accurate and timely fulfillment of patient records, collaborating closely with our esteemed physicians and clinical staff to support exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, upload, and meticulously review external medical records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Obtain, verify, and update patient demographic information and imaging exams within various EMR systems, adhering strictly to departmental guidelines.
  • Proactively assist physicians and radiologists by promptly requesting patient images and other essential patient records.
  • Collaborate with staff physicians and department directors on special projects as required.
  • Navigate and efficiently utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and scheduling systems.
  • Maintain detailed daily documentation of completed tasks for future workflow analysis.
  • Manage and prioritize requests from the Imaging Fulfillment Ticket System, processing by date and handling STAT requests with urgency.
  • Monitor and respond to group email requests for STAT image distribution from both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and process correspondence for routine and STAT medical inquiries.
  • Ensure the secure and confidential management of radiology exams and reports, diligently following through on all requests.
  • Prepare discs containing patient imaging studies upon request.
  • Guarantee the timely receipt and upload of all requested outside imaging exams.
  • Maintain and manage the Imaging Fulfillment shared folder to efficiently fulfill imaging requests and support the HIM Department.
  • Undertake any additional duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of one year of computer experience in a medical office setting is mandatory.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of medical terminology and standard clerical procedures.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions accurately.
  • Demonstrated strong time management and organizational skills, essential for a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with computers and standard office equipment, including basic network and file management.
  • Technical aptitude for requesting, uploading, and maintaining patient records.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand diverse document types, correspondence, and imaging fulfillment processes, with strong analytical skills for document content.
  • Proven ability to excel both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Capacity to manage fluctuating workloads effectively.
  • Competence in navigating multiple EMR systems.
  • Exceptional multitasking abilities, with a critical focus on attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven problem-solving skills to address a variety of situations with limited standardization.
  • Ability to interpret various instructions presented in written, oral, or schedule formats.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills for clear verbal and written communication.
  • Regularly interact and exchange confidential patient information with physicians, departmental personnel, and external agencies.
