About This Human Data Engineer Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Software Engineer (Human Data Platforms) on a contractual basis to design and maintain scalable data infrastructure. Your work will directly impact the reliability of platforms processing large-scale human data for machine learning models.

Your Core Responsibilities:

• Backend Architecture: Design and implement systems to process structured/unstructured human data at scale.
• API Development: Build RESTful APIs and microservices for ingesting, transforming, and delivering data to AI models.
• Pipeline Optimization: Collaborate with Data Scientists/ML Engineers to optimize workflows for training and inference.
• Data Integrity: Implement robust error handling, logging, monitoring, and automated testing (CI/CD).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: 3+ years in software engineering focused on data platforms or backend systems.
• Languages: Proficiency in Python plus one additional language (Java, Go).
• Distributed Systems: Experience with Kafka, PostgreSQL, Redis, and message queues.
• Cloud & Containers: AWS/GCP/Azure expertise; Docker/Kubernetes proficiency.
• Data Formats: Familiarity with JSON, Avro, Protobuf, and high-throughput API design.
