HR Lead
Full Job Description
This role is with one of our portfolio companies. We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused HR Lead to lead the people function across both our corporate office and retail network. The ideal candidate will design and implement scalable HR systems, strengthen leadership capabilities, and cultivate a high-performance culture.
Role Summary: You will lead and execute a people strategy aligned with business growth, partner closely with the CEO and leadership team on organizational design and workforce planning, and build scalable HR systems for a multi-location retail footprint.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute a people strategy to support business growth.
- Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team on org design, workforce planning, and succession.
- Build and maintain scalable HR systems for diverse employee groups.
- Talent Acquisition: Design hiring strategies for corporate (marketing, operations, finance, product) and retail functions.
- Performance & Capability: Develop performance management systems for frontline retail staff and corporate functions.
- Drive manager capability development and address large-scale workforce challenges like attrition control, manpower planning, incentive frameworks, and compliance.
- Ensure statutory compliance across Indian states (PF, ESI, Shops & Establishments Act).
What We're Looking For:
- 10+ years of experience leading the HR function in a mid-stage, high-growth company.
- Proven ability to manage both retail/frontline and corporate teams.
- Strong experience in multi-location environments and org design.
- Deep understanding of Indian labor laws and statutory compliance.
- A builder who has designed HR systems from scratch, not just inherited them.
