HR Generalist/Manager

About the Role

Location: Work from Office (Bellandur, Bengaluru, KA)

We are seeking a qualified and resourceful HR Generalist to join our expanding team. This role is pivotal in managing HR operations, fostering employee engagement, ensuring compliance, and spearheading recruitment for technical positions. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong foundation in HR principles, and the adaptability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement personnel procedures and policies, offering guidance and interpretation to support business operations.
• Contribute to the development of HR objectives and systems, including establishing metrics, generating queries, and producing ongoing reports.
• Administer employee benefits, compensation structures, and performance management programs.
• Propose new procedures and policies to enhance employee experience and operational efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to all local and national regulations and employment laws, updating policies as necessary.

HR Operations

• Prepare all necessary paperwork and schedules for a seamless onboarding process, collaborating with cross-functional departments to ensure an exceptional first-day experience.
• Manage all administrative tasks associated with onboarding, orientations, and exit interviews, including accurate HRIS data entry and compliance audits.
• Provide expert HR advisory services to employees on matters including absence, health, conduct, grievances, and organizational changes.
• Maintain meticulous employee files, including vacation/sick pay records, expense reimbursements, hourly-employee validations, and benefits updates.
• Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of the employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, while contributing to policy development.

Recruitment

• Post technical job descriptions across IT job boards, social media, and other relevant platforms.
• Source, screen, and shortlist qualified candidates for technical roles.
• Conduct structured, technical, and behavioral interviews to assess candidates.
• Build and maintain a robust candidate database to ensure a consistent talent pipeline.
• Network with potential candidates to actively promote VNB's employer brand.
• Collaborate with IT management on effective hiring strategies and tailor recruitment efforts accordingly.
• Develop a deep understanding of technical requirements to articulate job roles effectively.
• Demonstrate tenacity and resourcefulness in building a strong network of qualified candidates.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Exceptional spoken and written English, with strong interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness.
• Comprehensive understanding of HR procedures and policies, with a strong problem-solving aptitude.
• Advanced HRIS knowledge and the ability to quickly learn new technical systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Degree in Human Resources or a related field; prior experience in HR and recruitment is essential.
• Basic awareness of Information Security (ISO 27001) is required.
