Health And Safety Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update Go Lime’s Health & Safety Policy and Program.
• Ensure strict adherence to Ontario OHSA and all relevant regulations.
• Facilitate Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) meetings, including documentation and follow-ups.
• Verify that all required safety postings are current and readily accessible.
• Assist in preparations for Ministry inspections and compliance audits.
• Conduct site visits to field operations and support safety inspections.
• Contribute to hazard assessments, job safety analyses, and the development of risk mitigation plans.
• Monitor compliance with essential certifications such as Working at Heights, WHMIS, and others.
• Support contractor safety compliance and documentation processes.
• Promote safe work practices specific to HVAC installations, water heaters, confined spaces, and working at heights.
• Aid in fleet and driving safety initiatives.
• Coordinate and meticulously track mandatory safety training for all employees.
• Maintain accurate records of training, certifications, and compliance dashboards.
• Support the delivery of safety orientations, 'toolbox talks,' and all company-wide safety communications.
• Assist in the thorough documentation of workplace incidents and near misses.
• Support root cause investigations for safety events.
• Track corrective actions through to completion.
• Maintain accurate incident logs and reporting documentation.
• Support documentation related to workplace injuries and WSIB claims.
• Assist with modified work coordination and return-to-work processes.
• Maintain claims tracking logs and support all WSIB reporting requirements.
• Collaborate closely with HR and Operations to ensure timely and effective case management.
• Track key leading and lagging safety indicators.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly safety reports and dashboards.
• Monitor safety trends to identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Must Have:

• Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of Ontario OHSA and WSIB requirements.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work independently and conduct field visits.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Analytical mindset for effectively tracking and interpreting safety metrics.
• Collaborative approach, adept at partnering with Operations teams.

Preferred:

• A minimum of 3 years of progressive health and safety experience.
• Prior experience in HVAC, construction, utilities, or field services environments.
