Head UX Designer

About the Role

We are seeking a Lead UX Designer to own the user experience across Teramind's platform. This is a senior individual contributor role—not a management position. You will serve as our UX craft leader, setting high quality standards, coaching fellow designers, and driving design direction for complex problem spaces.

You'll join our Product team alongside talented peers, collaborating closely with product management and engineering. While you won't manage people directly, you will elevate the entire group through rigorous design critiques, mentorship programs, and establishing best practices that raise overall UX craft standards.

What You'll Do

• Own Platform Strategy: Lead UX strategy for a platform serving 10,000+ organizations. Design workflows for distinct personas ranging from security investigations to productivity analysis and AI Governance.
  Elevate the Team: Coach fellow designers through structured critiques, pairing sessions, and shared frameworks—raising output quality without formal management authority.
• Simplify Complexity: Translate data-dense problem spaces into clear interfaces helping users move from signal to decision with confidence.
  Design end-to-end workflows grounded in real needs: mapping jobs-to-be-done, defining interaction models, and reducing friction across multi-step processes.

We believe in systems thinking. You will build reusable UI components for our design system ensuring coherence across a deep configurability platform. Partner with PMs to lower cognitive load and reduce time-to-insight. Work closely with Engineering to embed UX principles everywhere.

What We Need From You

• Veteran Experience: 10+ years in UX design, ideally with 3+ years on security or technical B2B platforms.
  Precision & Polish: A true passion for exceptional experiences—from high-level flows to micro-interactions and edge cases. Show a portfolio turning complex data into streamlined intuition (bonus: cybersecurity/enterprise SaaS).
• Mentorship First: Proven ability to mentor designers, give actionable feedback, facilitate productive critiques, and help others grow.
  Affinity for AI Tools: Demonstrated daily use of tools like Copilot/Claude/Midjourney for ideation or production. You design with AI.
• Tech Fluency: Expertise in Figma, prototyping, and navigating investigation dashboards/driver builders.
  Communication Excellence: Ability to present clearly to technical/non-technical stakeholders and articulate design rationale with confidence.
