Nexifyr Consulting Pvt Ltd seeks a seasoned Principal Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and scaling of our robust backend systems. This pivotal role involves leading backend architecture, crafting high-performance microservices and APIs utilizing Java, Spring Boot, Python, FastAPI, and Django, while ensuring paramount system scalability, security, and reliability. You will mentor junior developers, champion best practices, and collaborate closely with product, AI, and DevOps teams to deliver resilient and scalable solutions. Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining scalable backend systems and microservices, leading architectural decisions for optimal performance, building and optimizing RESTful APIs, mentoring developers, and conducting code reviews. You will also collaborate across teams to deliver end-to-end solutions, optimize database design and query performance, implement stringent security measures, ensure high system availability, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to long-term architectural strategy. Technical requirements include strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Python, FastAPI, Django, microservices architecture, relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), OOP, design patterns, multithreading, caching technologies (Redis), messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS), AWS cloud services, Docker, system design, authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth), Git, and familiarity with AI-powered services is a plus. We value familiarity with AI coding assistants (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT), a solid understanding of Generative AI and LLM concepts, and a proactive approach to integrating AI services for development efficiency and code quality. Qualifications include a BE/BTech/MS in Computer Science or a related field, 10-15 years of backend development experience, and a minimum of 5 years in technical leadership.
