Full Job Description
EY is seeking a Software Engineer / Sr. Software Engineer for its Technology Consulting team, focusing on Guidewire engagements for global clients. In this role, you will be a key team member contributing to various technical aspects of Guidewire projects. Responsibilities include collaborating with onsite coordinators and ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks with regular status reporting to the lead. We are looking for candidates with a BE/BTech/MCA degree and 1.5 to 3 years of relevant industry experience.
Mandatory Skills:
- Demonstrable experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter configuration and integration.
- Experience in the Property & Casualty Insurance domain.
- Proven knowledge and experience in either Personal Lines products (e.g., Personal Auto, Property, Homeowners, Personal Umbrella) or Commercial Lines products (e.g., Commercial Auto, Commercial Property, Workers Compensation, Farm, Commercial Umbrella, Farm Umbrella, Business Owners).
- Proficiency in Java 5, JEE, XML, Web Services (Axis 2), SQL, and ANT.
- Strong skills in Pl/SQL, Spring, Hibernate, Castor, and any Enterprise Messaging System.
- Solid knowledge and experience with Tomcat and/or Websphere/Weblogic.
- Real-time experience in enterprise system integration, preferably within the insurance domain.
- Understanding and application of software development best practices.
- Excellent business communication skills.
- Prior client-facing experience is essential.
