Graph Data Engineer

IDFC FIRST Bank is seeking a motivated and experienced Graph Data Engineer in Mumbai, India, to join our expanding data team. This role involves the design, development, and maintenance of scalable graph-based data solutions, collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and application developers to harness graph databases for intricate data analysis, knowledge representation, and real-time applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Graph Data Modelling & Design: Design and implement efficient graph data models using technologies like Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, or TigerGraph. Translate business needs into robust graph schemas and optimize models for performance and query efficiency.
• Graph Database Development & Management: Install, configure, and tune graph database instances. Develop data ingestion and transformation pipelines, and create/optimize queries using Cypher, Gremlin, or similar languages. Implement data security and access controls.
• Data Integration & Quality: Design and implement ETL/ELT processes to integrate data from diverse sources into graph databases. Develop and maintain data pipelines using tools such as Apache Kafka and Apache Airflow, ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Graph Analytics & Application Development: Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to build graph-based analytics solutions. Focus on performance optimization and troubleshooting.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 2-5 years of experience in Data Engineering with expertise in Graph Databases, particularly Neo4j.
• Strong Python programming skills and experience with PySpark.
• Proficiency in Graph Databases (Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, TigerGraph), Query Languages (Cypher, Gremlin, SPARQL), Ontology & Semantic Modelling (RDF, OWL).
• Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Big Data Technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
• Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL pipelines, and distributed systems.
