Grant Writer Position

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Grant Writer to join our fully remote team. This role involves supporting our organization’s fundraising and grant development efforts by identifying funding opportunities, crafting competitive proposals, and managing the entire grant lifecycle—from research and application preparation to post-award reporting. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the Executive Director to align grant strategies with organizational priorities, ensuring compliance, transparency, and impactful outcomes.

The successful applicant will demonstrate exceptional research, writing, and organizational skills, with a proven track record of securing grants in nonprofit, healthcare, public health, or related sectors. Strong communication, time management, and remote work independence are essential, as is the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Candidates with a demonstrated history of successful grant awards will receive priority consideration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify relevant grant opportunities from foundations, government agencies, and corporate donors.
  • Develop high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate data collection for applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage grant deadlines, pipelines, and reporting requirements with precision.
  • Assist in strategic fundraising and development initiatives.
  • Maintain organized records of all grant activities and compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine organizational narratives and impact statements.
  • Provide regular updates and ensure transparency in grant progress.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Public Administration, Public Health, Business, Nonprofit Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven grant writing, proposal development, and nonprofit fundraising experience.
  • Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting with reliable communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and online grant portals.
  • Experience in healthcare, community health, or public service sectors is a plus.

Preferred Characteristics:

  • Track record of securing grants (amounts and examples provided in application).
  • Creativity, strategic thinking, and initiative in proposal development.
  • Professionalism, accountability, and ability to meet deadlines.
