Graduate Electrical Engineer

Role Overview

The Electrical Engineer will support the design and documentation of electrical systems for various building projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, security, and low voltage systems. This position involves collaborating with senior engineers, performing technical calculations, preparing drawings using industry-standard software, and ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and drafting of electrical systems for diverse building types.
• Prepare and update engineering drawings, layouts, and schedules utilizing design software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
• Support senior engineers in technical calculations and project documentation.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to gather essential data and contribute to project delivery.
• Coordinate effectively with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders for integrated solutions.
• Contribute to the preparation of bills of quantities (BOQs), technical specifications, and tender documents.
• Ensure all work aligns with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends and best practices in building electrical systems.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in building services electrical design or a related field; internships or project experience are advantageous.
• Fundamental understanding of electrical codes and standards, including NBC, IS, and IEC.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, Dialux, or similar software is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• A proactive attitude towards learning and embracing new challenges.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience with sustainable design or green building concepts.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows and digital collaboration tools.
