Role Description
This is a full-time Graduate Project Support Officer (PSO) position based in Chennai, with a hybrid working arrangement combining office-based work with some work-from-home flexibility. The role is intended for recent Master’s/postgraduate graduates and candidates with up to 2 years of experience who are interested in developing a career in project operations, project coordination, digital delivery, data analytics, and process improvement within an international engineering consultancy.
The Graduate PSO will support Project Managers and project teams across multiple portfolios, helping ensure that projects are properly organized, documented, monitored, reported, and delivered in accordance with D&B's project management and quality processes.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include supporting project administration, project setup and records, document control, programme and deliverable tracking, timesheet and resource monitoring, KPI reporting, project dashboards, invoicing/progress information, meeting coordination, action tracking, and management reporting.
The role will also support D&B's ongoing development of digital delivery, data analytics, AI, and automation, including identifying opportunities to improve workflows, reporting, project controls, and operational efficiency through technology.
The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Portfolio Leads, engineers, discipline heads, corporate services, and international teams, providing structured project information and ensuring timely follow-up of actions and deliverables.
This is a graduate development position with the opportunity to progressively build expertise in project operations, project controls, digital delivery, business intelligence, data analytics, AI-enabled workflows, and engineering consultancy management.
Qualifications
Master’s degree or postgraduate qualification in Engineering, Technology, Project Management, Construction Management, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Management, Computer Applications, or a related discipline.
Fresh postgraduates and candidates with up to 2 years of experience are encouraged to apply.
Strong analytical, numerical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with an ability to work with structured data, trackers, reports, and presentations.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Ability to prepare and maintain accurate project records, reports, dashboards, trackers, meeting minutes, and action logs.
Ability to coordinate with Project Managers, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams and follow up on actions, deadlines, and deliverables.
Interest in project management, project controls, digital delivery, data analytics, AI, automation, and process improvement.
Exposure to Power BI, advanced Excel, data visualization, AI tools, automation tools, project-management platforms, BIM/CDE environments, or similar digital applications would be advantageous.
Internship or academic project exposure involving project coordination, data analysis, reporting, business analytics, process improvement, digital transformation, or project management would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary and international teams.
Must be based in Chennai or willing to relocate to Chennai.
Comfortable working within a hybrid working environment.
