Golang Engineer - Backend Developer

Simulationhub is seeking a talented Backend Developer proficient in Go (Golang) to join their agile team in Pune. This role involves end-to-end development of cloud-native, web-scale services, with a focus on owning backend features and contributing to production operations under the guidance of senior engineers. Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate within an agile team to build, own, and maintain backend services.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices using Golang.
• Contribute to service reliability through monitoring, alerting, metrics, logging, and on-call rotations.
• Translate product requirements into well-maintained, performant, and secure code.
• Identify and implement improvements for scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across code, infrastructure, and integrations.

Core Requirements:

• 4-7 years of professional experience in web application development.
• Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) and RESTful API design.
• Proven experience developing high-performance, highly available cloud-native services.
• Solid understanding of software design patterns and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, MSSQL) and SQL optimization.
• Comfortable with agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
• Excellent debugging and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway).
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Background in performance tuning and disaster recovery strategies.

Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
