Golang Backend Engineer

DHUBiC Private Limited is seeking a skilled Golang Backend Engineer to join our team in Mohammedwadi, Pune, Maharashtra. This role is perfect for a candidate who is passionate about APIs, understands the intricacies of concurrency, Goroutines, and channels, and enjoys building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and scaling our backend services, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure using contemporary tools and open-source technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement resilient backend systems with an API-first philosophy.
• Develop high-performance, modular microservices, predominantly using Go (Golang).
• Integrate with and manage Event Streaming services such as Apache Pulsar and NATs.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, utilizing tools like GitLab CI.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on architectural design, performance tuning, and reliability improvements.
• Manage deployment, monitoring, and operation of services on public cloud environments, with a preference for AWS, but experience with GCP or Azure is also beneficial.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends in backend development, cloud-native technologies, and best practices.
• Actively participate in architectural and software design discussions.
• Engage in code reviews, produce clean, well-documented code, and uphold high standards of code quality.
• Explore and implement AI tools and integrations for both internal efficiency and product enhancement.

Required Skills and Experience:

• A minimum of 1 year of backend development experience with Go (Golang). Experience with another backend language (e.g., Node.js, Python) is a significant advantage.
• Proven experience working with APIs and designing efficient, scalable interfaces.
• Fundamental understanding of CI/CD principles and associated tooling (e.g., GitLab CI).
• Proficiency with Git workflows and version control systems, particularly GitLab.
• Hands-on experience with both relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Postgresql, MongoDB, ElasticDB, ScyllaDB/Cassandra, CrateDB, CockroachDB).
• Strong grasp of clean code principles, modular design, effective naming conventions, and software development best practices.
• A self-starter with a curious mind, comfortable working autonomously within a startup setting.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively manage personal tasks and priorities.

Desirable Skills (Bonus Points):

• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Contributions to open-source projects or a public GitHub profile showcasing your work.
• Exposure to AI technologies and their application in software development (e.g., OpenAI APIs, vector databases).
• A keen interest in systems design and scalable architectural patterns.
• Experience with containerization (Docker/podman) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
