Golang Developer (Contract)

We are seeking a skilled Golang Developer to join our client's engineering team. This remote contract role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance applications using Go to support the training infrastructure of next-generation AI systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Core Development: Design and maintain scalable Go applications supporting AI model training infrastructure.
• Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to define requirements, architecture, and delivery timelines for backend services.
• Quality Assurance: Participate in peer code reviews to uphold standards, share best practices, and ensure adherence to security guidelines.
• Optimization: Refactor existing Go systems to improve performance, memory efficiency, and scalability for increased AI workloads.
• Maintenance & Debugging: Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems methodically.
• Documentation: Document architecture decisions, implementation logic, and operational procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years developing production-grade Go applications with deep knowledge of concurrency models and type systems.
• Built Systems: Proven experience designing RESTful APIs, microservices, or distributed systems for scalable backends.
• VCS Mastery: Strong proficiency in Git workflows (GitFlow/trunk-based) and branching strategies.
• Architecture: Solid understanding of SOLID, DRY principles, and clean architecture applied to Go applications.
• DevOps Tools: Familiarity with Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration in cloud/hybrid environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Testing & Code Quality: Ability to write clean, maintainable code with comprehensive unit and integration test coverage.

Remote Work Environment:

This is a fully remote position. Candidates must be self-motivated, able to work independently across time zones, and comfortable collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
