General Summary:

Join Qualcomm's industry-leading Location Team as a Systems/Software Engineer. You will research and design core Location Technology used in billions of devices globally. This role involves developing innovative ideas from inception to production, delivering impactful products that transform user experiences.

Leverage your creativity and technical expertise to develop the next generation of Location Technology for Edge Computing devices across mobile, IoT, and automotive markets. Responsibilities include designing prototypes, demonstrating performance and reliability enhancements, developing embedded software, and commercializing solutions for mass deployment.

Apply advanced techniques such as hybrid technology fusion, GNSS/INS navigation, MEMS sensor processing, causal/non-causal estimation, and Machine Learning to create algorithms and embedded software that push the boundaries of navigation availability, accuracy, and precision.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, with 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, with 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
• Strong background in control systems, estimation techniques (least-squares, Kalman filtering, particle filtering), statistical signal processing, sensor fusion, and optimization. A college-level project, internship, or peer-reviewed paper in a related area is a plus.
• Proficient in programming with C/C++, MATLAB, and Python.
• Background in Machine and Deep Learning techniques such as Convolutional Neural Networks.
• Systems Engineering and/or Software Development experience is a plus.
• Understanding of navigation/positioning solutions and software development, with knowledge of positioning using hybrid technology fusion (e.g., GNSS/INS, Sensors, WLAN & WWAN) being desirable.
• Experience in data analysis and statistical correlation identification.
• Experience designing, developing, and debugging medium to large-scale real-time and near real-time systems is desirable.
