Full Job Description
This is a hybrid remote/in-office role reporting to your manager. It is an individual contributor (Non-Managerial) position.
Summary of Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide expert network and security design, implementation strategies, migration plans, and technical project support for projects of varying complexity.
- Adhere to change control procedures within the ITIL framework.
- Perform hands-on configurations for new delivery deployments.
- Act as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) and representative in project meetings to ensure timely delivery.
- Assist in implementing standard designs from the Network Engineering team for infrastructure projects, including configuration, troubleshooting, documentation, optimization, and requirements gathering.
- Offer technical guidance for broader solution delivery initiatives.
- Identify process improvement and automation opportunities through engineering expertise.
- Maintain in-depth technical knowledge of various Network and Security technologies and supporting solutions to facilitate new technology integrations and capabilities.
- Communicate effectively with both executive and technical audiences to build credibility and trust with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in managing, provisioning, and implementing network and security technologies in a large, globally diverse environment.
- Expert-level experience with Network Security technologies including Incapsula Web Application Firewall (WAF), Imperva Cloud Web Application Firewall, SecureSphere (Hardware WAF), McAfee/Trellix Intrusion Prevention Systems, Checkpoint and Fortinet Firewalls, and Skyhigh on-premise and Cloud Web Gateways.
- Solid understanding of the HTTP protocol, SSL/TLS, PKI, and common web-based attacks.
- Proficiency in writing detailed methods of procedure and maintaining technical documentation.
- Required knowledge of Layer 3 technologies such as IPv4, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, PIM, HSRP, DMVPN, NHRP, and GETVPN.
- Required knowledge of Layer 2 technologies including Spanning-Tree, VLANs, QinQ, and Dot1q.
- Operational experience with load-balancing technologies like Citrix Netscaler and F5.
- Foundational knowledge of cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, GCP, and APIs.
- Experience working within an Agile Scrum framework, utilizing tools like Jira for sprint management.
- Relevant certifications in Network Security Technologies (WAF, Proxy, Firewalls) and CCNP are highly desirable.
