About the Role: Global Incident Analyst
Johnson Controls is seeking a Global Incident Analyst to join their team in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. This role is crucial for identifying and mitigating real or potential risks to the safety and security of client personnel and assets worldwide. The analyst will leverage internal processes and external tools to monitor global events in real-time, assess incident impacts, and communicate actionable intelligence. Responsibilities include synthesizing data, composing timely notifications to stakeholders, supporting crisis situations, analyzing trends, and contributing to threat assessment products. The role also involves assisting personnel with travel requirements to high-risk locations and serving as a primary point of contact for incident intake and escalation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Continuously monitor worldwide events in real-time using internal and external tools to identify safety and security incidents.
- Evaluate and assess identified incidents for their potential impact on company personnel and assets.
- Synthesize data and compose accurate and timely communications to relevant stakeholders, including leadership, Regional Security Managers, employees, and travelers.
- Provide support during crisis situations as instructed.
- Analyze daily developments to identify trends and patterns, and provide recommendations to risk decision-makers.
- Contribute to tactical and/or strategic threat assessments for specific locations or events.
- Assist company personnel in meeting requirements and obtaining permissions for travel to high-risk locations.
- Serve as the main point of contact for the intake and escalation of safety and security incidents.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Post Graduate degree preferably in international affairs or political science, or 3-5 years of corporate security intelligence experience, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in security, safety, or emergency operations centers.
- Intelligence Analyst experience within a corporate setting.
- Experience with traveler tracking software.
- Familiarity with open-source intelligence (OSINT) and monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of and active interest in global geopolitical and security developments.
- Strong client orientation and results-driven approach.
- Ability to comprehend large amounts of emerging and evolving data.
- Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail for making informed decisions.
- Ability to be a positive and effective team member.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a demanding, fast-paced environment with varying deadlines.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for a global audience.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
