GIS Frontend Developer (Qt)

Vsmart Technologies is seeking a motivated Qt-based Frontend Developer for a long-term project in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This role involves building and enhancing desktop GUI screens for a Geographic Information System (GIS) application, focusing on improving usability and performance. You will integrate the user interface with backend REST APIs, resolve defects, and provide support for testing and documentation.

Key Requirements:

• Extensive experience with the Qt Framework (Qt Widgets or Qt Quick-QML).
• Proficiency in C++ (Qt/C++) or Python (PyQt/PySide).
• Proven experience in desktop UI development.
• Familiarity with REST API integration (HTTP/JSON).
• Proficient with Git for version control.

Desirable Skills:

• Basic understanding of GIS concepts, including coordinate systems, projections, and spatial data.
• Experience with GDAL/OGR.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL/PostGIS or SQLite.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks like Qt Test or pytest.
