You will independently manage and execute complex data engineering processes, converting and integrating external digital sources. This role requires a strong command of GIS and spatial data, with a focus on bulk data ingestion and risk management. You'll leverage technologies like FME, ArcGIS, Python, SQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL to transform and integrate data. - Leverage data engineering technologies like FME, ArcGIS, Python, SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Visio, QGIS to transform and integrate increasingly complex data, or create products.
- Assess and manage risks associated with complex bulk ingestion efforts.
- Provide GIS and spatial data consultancy, focusing on bulk source integration.
- Participate in departmental and cross-functional projects to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
- Develop an engineering and consultancy mindset focused on value and cost efficiency, delivering the needed end results.
- Maintain a strong understanding of relevant technologies and initiatives.
- Design and apply technology strategically to improve GIS Data Engineering processes, tools, and scope. Recommend improvements for existing processes.
- Gain broad experience across projects and processes, and re-engineer new process workflows within the organization.
- Communicate data ingestion insights and advice effectively and empathetically to inter-departmental peers.
- Identify and resolve issues related to data conversion, bulk updates, or the MAP database.
