Job Overview
As a Senior Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst, you will be instrumental in establishing and refining application systems and programs in collaboration with the Technology team. This senior-level role focuses on leading applications systems analysis and programming initiatives to meet business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with diverse management teams to ensure functional integration, identify system enhancements for new products, and drive process improvements.
- Address complex, high-impact issues and projects by deeply evaluating business processes, system workflows, and industry best practices.
- Provide advanced expertise in application programming, ensuring adherence to architectural blueprints and standards.
- Develop and implement coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards for complex systems.
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of business areas, including architecture and infrastructure, and their integration towards achieving business goals.
- Conduct in-depth analysis using interpretive thinking to define challenges and devise innovative solutions.
- Mentor and coach mid-level developers and analysts, delegating tasks as needed.
- Proactively assess and manage risks, prioritizing the firm's reputation, client assets, and regulatory compliance, while upholding ethical conduct and transparently reporting control issues.
Recommended Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Applications Development or Systems Analysis.
- Profound expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs) including OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, Llama, and various local/open-source models.
- Strong practical experience with Python, FastAPI, asynchronous programming, SQL, and high-performance AI APIs.
- Extensive experience with Generative AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, and Hugging Face.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing:
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
- Vector databases (e.g., PostgreSQL with pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS).
- Advanced retrieval strategies, including hybrid search, re-ranking, and metadata filtering.
- Experience with multi-agent systems, workflow orchestration, and stateful AI applications.
- Solid foundation in Machine Learning/Deep Learning concepts, with hands-on experience in PyTorch and/or TensorFlow, including fine-tuning and embeddings.
- Strong understanding of prompt engineering, workflow design, and Generative AI optimization for latency, cost, and accuracy.
- Experience deploying Generative AI systems using Docker, production APIs, and monitoring/observability tools.
- Knowledge of AI system evaluation, safety, and governance, including hallucination handling, guardrails, and feedback loops.
- Proven leadership experience, including architecture ownership, design reviews, and mentoring AI engineers.
- Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Extensive experience in systems analysis and software application programming.
- Proven track record in managing and implementing successful projects.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development.
- Ability to adapt priorities swiftly to changing circumstances.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities.
- Consistent record of clear and concise written and verbal communication.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Master’s degree preferred.
