GenAI Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and refine GenAI-powered applications and agents using Python.
• Develop rapid prototypes for AI solutions across diverse use cases, including banking, enterprise operations, and analytics.
• Contribute across the full stack, including backend logic, APIs, integrations, and basic frontend components as required.
• Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs), embeddings, vector databases, and external tools into seamless workflows.
• Transform ambiguous problem statements into functional demonstrations or production-ready components.
• Create reusable abstractions, templates, and utilities to expedite future development efforts.
• Collaborate effectively with business analysts, solution architects, and product teams.
• Stay abreast of and pragmatically apply the latest advancements in the GenAI ecosystem.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Python, including core language features, data structures, and APIs.
• Hands-on experience with GenAI/LLM-based systems (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models).
• Understanding of prompting techniques, embeddings, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), agents, and tool calling.
• Full-stack development familiarity, including backend frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar) and fundamental frontend concepts (React, Angular, or modern JavaScript frameworks).
• Experience integrating third-party APIs, databases, and cloud services.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and basic system design.

Nice to Have

• Experience with vector databases (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate, OpenSearch).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Exposure to enterprise data systems, including SQL, analytics, and internal tools.
• Previous involvement in developing demos, participating in hackathons, creating accelerators, or working with fast-paced product teams.
• A genuine curiosity for AI systems beyond basic API interactions.
