Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled GenAI Engineer with 2-3 years of experience to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, testing, and deploying Large Language Model (LLM)-powered applications in production environments. This role demands strong engineering acumen coupled with the ability to collaborate with product and business teams to identify and shape effective GenAI use cases, manage stakeholder expectations, and clearly articulate associated risks. You will focus on developing copilots, knowledge assistants, and workflow automation solutions, with particular emphasis on Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, ensuring reliability, robust evaluation, and cost-effective implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy LLM-powered APIs and services tailored for enterprise use cases.
- Translate complex business problems into efficient GenAI workflows, distinguishing between automation and human-in-the-loop processes.
- Implement robust RAG pipelines, including retrieval, grounding, and comprehensive evaluation mechanisms.
- Clearly communicate model capabilities, limitations, risks, and trade-offs to product managers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with security and legal teams to ensure the responsible and compliant usage of GenAI technologies.
- Actively participate in design reviews, product demonstrations, and stakeholder walkthrough sessions.
- Contribute to the development of internal GenAI playbooks, templates, and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience in building GenAI / LLM-based applications.
- Strong proficiency in Python and API development.
- Practical experience with RAG, embeddings, and prompt engineering techniques.
- Proven experience deploying GenAI workloads on at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Ability to clearly explain GenAI workflows and their limitations to non-technical audiences.
What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months):
- Stakeholders possess a clear understanding of the system's capabilities and limitations, minimizing surprises.
- A stable RAG pipeline is established, demonstrating improved answer quality and controlled hallucinations.
- Comprehensive documentation and demo assets are created for internal teams.
