GenAI Engineer - AWS, Java, C++, .NET (1-6 yr)

Amdocs is seeking a GenAI Engineer to spearhead the application of Generative AI and Agentic solutions for modernizing enterprise applications and accelerating cloud adoption on AWS. This pivotal role involves leveraging GenAI to facilitate application migration to AWS, assist in debugging and optimizing mainframe-converted applications, and support the complete SDLC execution within cloud environments.

The position uniquely combines Java application development, cloud infrastructure management, CloudOps and FinOps methodologies, and AI-assisted engineering, all while supporting large-scale, production-grade systems.

What Your Role Entails:

• Design and implement GenAI-powered and Agentic solutions to drive application modernization and SDLC automation.
• Utilize Generative AI techniques to aid in application migration to AWS and to debug and stabilize mainframe-converted applications.
• Develop, enhance, and manage Java-based applications, with opportunities to engage with C, C++, and .NET codebases.
• Execute and support the end-to-end SDLC on AWS, encompassing development, deployment, testing, and ensuring operational readiness.
• Provide support for AWS CloudOps activities, including environment management, monitoring, reliability enhancements, and incident resolution.
• Contribute to FinOps practices by focusing on cost optimization, usage analysis, and governance within AWS environments.
• Collaborate with cloud infrastructure components to guarantee scalability, performance, security, and compliance.
• Partner with cross-functional engineering, platform, and operations teams to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions.

What You Bring:

• 1–6 years of professional experience in software engineering, application development, or cloud engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Java application development and management.
• Exposure to AWS cloud services within development, migration, or operational contexts.
• Practical understanding of Generative AI concepts or tools applied to software development, debugging, or modernization.
• Familiarity with CloudOps concepts such as monitoring, reliability, and incident management.
• Working knowledge of FinOps principles for cloud cost awareness and optimization.
• Understanding of SDLC processes within cloud-based environments.
• Exposure to C, C++, and/or .NET applications.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with or modernizing mainframe-converted applications.
• Exposure to AI-assisted migration, code analysis, or debugging tools.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure, automation, or DevOps tooling.
• Background in large-scale enterprise or telecom systems.
