GenAI / Agentic AI Engineer
Full Job Description
Role Overview:
We are seeking a strong software engineer with extensive Python development experience and hands-on exposure to GenAI and Agentic AI for the Verisk India team.
This is not a traditional Data Analyst, Hadoop specialist, Big Data-focused candidate, or Prompt-only AI professional role. The ideal background includes Python Developer, Backend Engineer, Full-Stack Developer with strong backend experience, Data Engineer with advanced software-development capabilities, or .NET/Java Developers who have developed strong Python expertise.
The individual must be capable of writing production-quality code and integrating AI capabilities into existing enterprise applications.
Core Technical Requirements:
Python / Backend Development: Strong hands-on experience with Python, FastAPI (particularly valuable), Django or Flask, RESTful API development, backend services, Lambda functions, batch-processing functions, business-logic development, unit testing, and debugging.GenAI / Agentic AI:
Candidates should understand how to design, develop, and deploy Agentic AI solutions. Relevant technologies include AWS Strands Agents (especially valuable), LangGraph (highly preferred), LangChain, Hugging Face, AutoGen, CrewAI, and comparable frameworks.Model Context Protocol (MCP):
A strong requirement for knowledge of MCP architecture, servers/clients, tool integration, secure communication between applications and AI agents, and decoupling AI services from core business applications.
AWS Environment:
The majority of the organization's applications are deployed in AWS. Candidates should have practical experience with Amazon Bedrock (team primarily uses this), AWS Lambda, Amazon ECS/EKS, Step Functions, OpenSearch, DynamoDB, and other container services.Databases & Search Technologies:
Comfort working with relational databases like PostgreSQL and non-relational ones like DynamoDB. Experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch for search tasks is required.
Existing Application Environment:
Many existing enterprise applications are built using .NET / C#, Java, API-based architectures, and Angular front ends. Experience integrating Python AI capabilities with these technologies would be valuable.
Deployment & DevOps:Candidates must have experience deploying solutions into production environments (CI/CD pipelines, Containerization, Source-control management). The team works in two-week Scrum sprints.
AI-Assisted Development Tools:The development environment may include GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, Visual Studio Code.
Compensation & Location:
- Pay: ₹2500000 - ₹3000000 per year
- Experience Required: 4-5 years total (Gen AI: 2 yrs preferred, Python: 2 yrs preferred)
