Generative AI Engineer - Senior / Manager

Cognizant is seeking experienced Generative AI Engineers to join our team in Chennai and Coimbatore, India. This role is open for Pan India locations with a focus on in-person interviews in Chennai and Coimbatore. We are looking for individuals with 5.5 to 12 years of experience, available for immediate joining or within a 60-day notice period.

Job Responsibilities

• Data preparation for training and evaluation of multimodal foundation models, including data cleaning, processing, and synthetic data generation.
• Development and optimization of large-scale language models such as Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) and Variational Autoencoders (VAEs).
• Working on tasks related to language modeling, text generation, text understanding, and contextual comprehension.
• Regular review and fine-tuning of Large Language Models (LLMs) for custom datasets to ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Building and deploying AI applications on cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS).
• Integrating AI models with company data to enhance and augment existing applications.
• Handling data preprocessing, augmentation, and generation of synthetic data.
• Designing and developing backend services using Python or .NET to support LLM-powered solutions.
• Developing and maintaining AI pipelines.
• Utilizing custom datasets with techniques like chunking and embeddings for model training and fine-tuning.
• Integrating platform services (e.g., Azure Cognitive Services) to extend AI solution functionality.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams for seamless deployment and integration of AI solutions.
• Ensuring the robustness, efficiency, and scalability of AI systems.
• Staying abreast of the latest advancements in AI and machine learning.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong foundation in machine learning, deep learning, and computer science.
• Expertise in generative AI models and techniques, including GANs, VAEs, and Transformers.
• Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Computer Vision is advantageous.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Proficiency in advanced programming, particularly Python, and AI-centric libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras.
• Knowledge of NLP for text generation projects, including text parsing, sentiment analysis, and the use of transformer models like GPT.
• Experience in data management, encompassing data pre-processing, augmentation, and synthetic data generation.
• Proven experience in developing and deploying AI models in production environments.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) for deploying and managing AI solutions.
• Ability to contribute innovative ideas and solutions to clients.
