Full Job Description
EY is seeking a Senior Associate for the GDS GCO Enablement team, focusing on UK Quality, based in Gurgaon, India. This role is instrumental in supporting EY’s UK business with risk management and service quality matters. You will act as a trusted legal advisor to stakeholders, including senior leaders and engagement partners, assessing and mitigating firm risks.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting role within a fast-growing team at EY. As part of the GDS-GCO Enablement team in GDS India, you will provide vital legal support to the UK Quality team. Your responsibilities will include acting as the primary point of contact for the UK business on Quality matters, advising partners and personnel on risk management, and developing a thorough understanding of key business risks. You will be trained on EY’s specific risk management framework.
Your Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for the UK business on Quality matters, supporting the UK-based Quality team in advising EY partners and personnel on risk management issues.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of general key business risks requiring management, with training provided on EY’s specific risk management framework.
- Review and provide risk management advice on engagement agreements, statements of work, terms and conditions, NDAs, MSAs, framework agreements, proposals, subcontracts, and other related documentation.
- Stay informed about the impact of changes in EY policies, organizational structure, and procedures.
- Assist in the creation, facilitation, and delivery of training programs for the UK business.
- Liaise with internal specialist functions such as Independence, onshore legal teams, Security, Privacy, and Risk Management.

Experience and Qualifications
- Law Graduate with 3-5 years of experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal terms and conditions, statements of work, consulting and technology contracts, or other complex agreements, with an understanding of general legal and risk management issues. Experience with UK law is preferred.
- Experience in dealing with IT contracts, including S.I. programs, niche projects/agile approaches, IT advisory, program management/change around IT programs, and program/software development projects.
- Experience in senior management and stakeholder management.
- Interest in risk management or compliance.
- Knowledge of GDPR concepts and other data protection and security considerations.
- Confidence in delivering subject matter content to peers and seniors, both in person and via MS Teams.
- Project management experience.
- Understanding of compliance-related concepts such as Independence and Conflicts.
- Experience collaborating in multi-vendor IT landscapes.
- Experience in drafting and negotiating IP terms in contracts.
