GCP / SRE / DevOps Engineer

Cittabase Solutions is seeking a skilled GCP SRE / DevOps Engineer to join our team in Chennai. This role is pivotal in maintaining the stability, performance, and automation of our Google Cloud infrastructure, with a specialized focus on ensuring 'Data in Flight' integrity for streaming and batch pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and monitor SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets for high-throughput data platforms.
• Manage observability stacks using Grafana, Cloud Monitoring, and OpenTelemetry to ensure system reliability.
• Optimize and manage GKE clusters, Kafka/Pub/Sub messaging, and AlloyDB instances.
• Automate infrastructure via Terraform and maintain CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions.
• Participate in PagerDuty incident management and conduct post-incident reviews to drive reliability.
• Optimize cloud costs and operational runbooks within the GCP ecosystem.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional experience in DevOps or SRE roles specifically within Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency in container orchestration with Docker and GKE.
• Solid background in infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and automation via Python or Shell scripting.
• Experience with data processing tools including BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer.
• Strong troubleshooting expertise with streaming technologies like Kafka or Pub/Sub.
