GCP Cloud Support Engineer - On-site in Mumbai

Arting Digital is seeking a dedicated GCP Cloud Support Engineer with 2-5 years of experience to join our team in Mumbai. This is a permanent, on-site position focused on the operational management and support of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure.

About The Role

As an Onsite GCP Cloud Support Engineer, you will be instrumental in maintaining and supporting our Google Cloud environment. Your responsibilities will include daily cloud operations, ensuring the integrity of infrastructure provisioned with Terraform, providing support for Kubernetes workloads, and performing essential Red Hat Linux administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct, on-site operational support for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure.
• Monitor, manage, and validate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, with a focus on basic to intermediate level understanding and troubleshooting.
• Support Kubernetes environments by verifying deployments, monitoring pods and services, and performing initial troubleshooting.
• Execute basic Red Hat Linux administration tasks, including user management, service status checks, log analysis, and patch verification.
• Proactively monitor system health, respond to incidents promptly, and perform first-level issue resolution.
• Collaborate effectively with offshore teams and cloud specialists for escalations, complex issue resolution, and planned change implementations.
• Actively participate in shift handovers, maintain up-to-date documentation, and contribute to knowledge transfer sessions.
• Ensure strict adherence to customer security policies, compliance mandates, and established change management processes.

Technical Skills Required

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Operational experience with Compute Engine, IAM, VPC, and fundamental networking concepts.
• Terraform: Solid understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles, module utilization, plan/apply workflows, and basic debugging.
• Kubernetes: Practical knowledge of pods, services, deployments, and proficiency with common kubectl commands.
• Linux: Foundational Red Hat Linux administration skills, including process management, log analysis, disk management, and networking essentials.

Preferred Skills (Nice To Have)

• Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools.
• Understanding of ITIL processes or experience in production support environments.
• Previous experience working within onsite/offshore support models.
