About the Role
Arting Digital is seeking a dedicated onsite GCP Cloud Support Engineer in Mumbai, India, to provide essential support, monitoring, and management for our Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our cloud environments. You will be instrumental in verifying infrastructure provisioned with Terraform, supporting Kubernetes workloads, and performing fundamental Red Hat Linux administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive onsite operational support for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure.
- Monitor, manage, and validate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, applying basic to intermediate level knowledge.
- Provide support for Kubernetes environments, including verifying deployments, monitoring pods and services, and executing basic troubleshooting.
- Perform essential Red Hat Linux administration tasks such as user management, service checks, log analysis, and patch verification.
- Continuously monitor system health, respond promptly to incidents, and conduct effective first-level issue resolution.
- Collaborate effectively with offshore teams and cloud specialists for escalations, complex issue resolution, and the implementation of planned changes.
- Actively participate in shift handovers, maintain up-to-date documentation, and contribute to knowledge transfer sessions.
- Ensure strict adherence to customer security policies, compliance requirements, and established change management processes.
Technical Skills Required
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Possess operational experience with Compute Engine, IAM, VPC, and foundational networking concepts.
- Terraform: Demonstrate a solid understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles, including modules, plan/apply workflows, and basic troubleshooting capabilities.
- Kubernetes: Have working knowledge of pods, services, deployments, and proficiency with commonly used kubectl commands.
- Linux: Exhibit basic Red Hat Linux administration skills, including managing processes, analyzing logs, disk management, and understanding networking fundamentals.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Prior exposure to monitoring and alerting tools.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes or experience in production support environments.
- Previous experience working within onsite/offshore support models.
