GCP Cloud Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Google Cloud Platform Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with at least 4 years of overall experience. This role requires designing, implementing, automating, and operating secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on GCP.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain cloud infrastructure using Google Cloud services such as Compute Engine, VPC, IAM, GKE, etc.
• Implement secure networking solutions within GCP including firewalls and load balancing.
• Create Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using Terraform.
• Automate CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or GitHub Actions for rapid software delivery.
• Develop automation tools in Python to streamline operational tasks.
• Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications on Kubernetes ensuring high availability.
• Implement robust security controls and secret management strategies.
• Migrate legacy systems to the cloud where applicable (general responsibility).
• Monitor environments for performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
• Champion GitOps principles using tools like Argo CD or Flux.
• Drive SRE practices, defining SLIs and SLOs.
• Lead incident response efforts including root cause analysis.
