Full Job Description

At EY, we are committed to shaping your future with confidence. We empower you to succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and support your career aspirations wherever they may lead. Join EY and contribute to building a better working world.

Associate Analyst, Risk Management Services

At EY, you will have the opportunity to build a career as unique as you are, leveraging global scale, support, an inclusive culture, and advanced technology to help you become the best version of yourself. We value your unique voice and perspective in helping EY continuously improve. Join us to create an exceptional experience for yourself and contribute to a better working world for everyone.

This role involves owning and executing a variety of global processes for compliance monitoring of engagements across Service Lines, ensuring adherence to Legal & Regulatory requirements and EY Policy requirements. The ideal candidate will thrive in an unstructured and complex environment, demonstrating out-of-the-box thinking, logical reasoning, sound verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to make prompt, well-informed decisions.

The Opportunity

Global Compliance Engagement Testing (GCET) plays a crucial role in supporting Global Risk Management by conducting compliance testing across Service Lines. The GCET program is an internal EY review process that selects engagements of Professional Practice & Ethics Directorate (PPEDs) to test their compliance with Legal & Regulatory requirements and internal EY policies. It provides feedback and ratings to PPEDs based on review outcomes. The team also generates analytical reports on compliance testing results for Global, Area, and Region stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading firm and actively contribute to strengthening its compliance framework.

We are seeking an Associate Analyst responsible for the timely execution of compliance testing processes. This includes conducting research and analysis to identify potential non-compliance with policy/guidance or regulatory breaches. The role also requires assisting with other process-related activities.

Your Key Responsibilities

Technical Expertise:

  • Learn and utilize tools, technologies, and EY databases to perform validations supporting compliance monitoring.
  • Conduct compliance monitoring and perform research using systematic and intuitive secondary research tools.
  • Analyze research findings, draw inferences, and conclude reviews based on research requirements.
  • Ensure the timely transmittal of review outcomes to PPEDs upon conclusion of reviews.
  • Apply analytical and project management methodologies and tools to achieve core KPIs.
  • Complete all assigned projects in accordance with standard operating procedures and stipulated timelines.
  • Proactively identify and implement process efficiencies as you grow within the role.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improvement.
  • Undertake ad hoc process activities as assigned periodically.
  • Manage process deadlines and ensure quality delivery on time to avoid client escalations.

Skills and Attributes for Success:

  • Ability to identify issues and analyze scenarios against policy requirements.
  • Succinct and structured oral and written communication skills with proven ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Good interpersonal skills and strong decision-making capabilities.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have:

  • A post-graduate or equivalent degree from a reputed institution.
  • 0-1 year of experience in research/compliance processes, data analysis, and reporting, with strong logical reasoning skills.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

  • Knowledge of risk management attributes and their distinctions.
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to independently solve problems using data.

Technologies and Tools:

  • Experience with MS Office suites, including Microsoft 365, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.

What You Can Look Forward To:

  • A team with strong commercial acumen, technical expertise, and enthusiasm for learning in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team founded on the core values of trust, respect, and teaming, focused on supporting colleagues to excel and providing opportunities for skill development.
