About the Role

GoDaddy's Commerce Engineering team is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to join our Mission Control team in Gurgaon. Our platform manages GoDaddy's connected payment terminal fleet, while our Mothership platform powers device management and fleet operations at scale.
As we grow, you'll build modern React applications, develop Node.js and Go services, and deliver scalable software for mission-critical commerce infrastructure using AWS, Redis, and Elasticsearch.

What You'll Do

• Build robust web applications and backend services with end-to-end ownership from design to deployment.
• Design secure REST APIs and distributed services optimized for performance and reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers, perform detailed code reviews, and improve platform quality.
• Troubleshoot production issues, participate in on-call rotations, and lead post-mortems.

Your Experience Should Include

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
• Proficiency in SQL (MySQL), AWS cloud-native development, Elasticsearch, Redis, and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, debugging, code reviews, and production support.

You Might Also Have

• Experience with Go (Golang) or decomposing monoliths into microservices.
• Skill in observability platforms, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and AI-assisted engineering tools like Cursor or GitHub Copilot.
