Sales Specialist - Cabinets

Join Lowe's Companies, Inc., a leading home improvement retailer, as a Sales Specialist focusing on cabinets in Akron, OH. In this full-time, onsite role, you will be instrumental in assisting customers with their home improvement projects by providing expert advice, exceptional service, and product knowledge. You'll be a key point of contact for customers and vendors, managing project estimates, scheduling installations, processing orders, and ensuring customer satisfaction from start to finish. If working in the Pro Department, you will focus on building external accounts and driving outside sales. Responsibilities also include monitoring inventory, performing price reviews, supporting checkout functions, and training new associates. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by actively engaging customers to understand their needs and offering solutions.
  • Communicate the benefits of Lowe's products and services effectively.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and vendors, managing project estimates, installation schedules, and order fulfillment.
  • Conduct follow-ups to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • If applicable, focus on Pro customer accounts and outside sales.
  • Manage departmental inventory to support sales and ensure product availability.
  • Ensure accurate pricing and maintain relevant documentation.
  • Assist customers at checkout and respond to departmental assistance requests.
  • Train and coach departmental associates on sales techniques and product knowledge.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe's retail experience.
  • Alternatively, 3 years of external customer-facing sales experience or 18 months of Lowe's retail experience if education requirement is not met.
  • 1 year of experience in sales or customer service with a proven track record of meeting sales goals.
  • Proficiency in basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction), reading, and writing.
  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
  • Physical ability to lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with accommodation.
  • Willingness to obtain required sales-related licensure or registration, with Lowe's support and funding.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience completing customer sales orders.
  • 1 year of experience promoting product-related services (installation, delivery, financing, protection plans).
  • 2 years of experience designing customized products using 20/20 or CAD systems.
  • Relevant professional certifications.
  • Bilingual skills.
