FULL STACK SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Vodafone Intelligent Solutions (VOIS) is seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Digital Engineering, Channels & Products team within the Content department. This role is centered on the design, development, integration, and maintenance of scalable RESTful services and modern web interfaces. Key technologies for this position include Java, Node.js, Spring Boot, and React. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with solution designers, developers, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle, contributing to the creation of high-quality, reliable, and reusable API-led solutions within an agile framework.

What you will do

• Design and implement responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using React and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Build, enhance, and maintain secure, scalable back-end services utilizing Java (Spring Boot) and Node.js.
• Develop, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs, ensuring consistency, reliability, and optimal performance.
• Manage and interact with SQL databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL to facilitate efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Bridge front-end and back-end components to guarantee seamless system integration and data flow.
• Take full ownership of end-to-end testing, debugging, reconciliation, and troubleshooting processes.
• Contribute to the creation of API documentation, specifications, and automation frameworks.
• Operate within Agile delivery methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe, actively participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to identify potential issues early, propose viable solutions, and support timely project delivery.

Who you are

• An experienced software professional with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on development experience.
• Proficient in Java, Node.js, and Spring Boot, with a demonstrated ability to debug and resolve code-level issues.
• Skilled in front-end development using React to build dynamic web interfaces.
• Experienced in API development, integration, and overall lifecycle management.
• Possess knowledge of AWS cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Familiar with AI-assisted development tools, such as GitLab Duo.
• Comfortable working within Agile frameworks and collaborating in cross-functional teams.
• A clear communicator with strong stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Possess strong analytical and detail-oriented skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems.
• Experience in telecom environments and SAFe Agile delivery is considered an advantage.
