Full Stack Engineer

Job Title: Full Stack Developer - SDE 1

As a Full Stack SDE 1 at NxtWave, you will play a crucial role in building and launching applications for NxtWave learners, experiencing rapid release cycles within weeks. Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deploy user-centric features across frontend, backend, and database layers, with guidance.
• Define and develop RESTful/GraphQL APIs and design efficient, scalable database schemas.
• Construct reusable and maintainable frontend components utilizing modern state management techniques.
• Develop backend services using Node.js or Python, adhering to clean architecture principles.
• Implement comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Containerize applications and set up CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments.
• Uphold secure coding practices, accessibility standards (WCAG), and SEO fundamentals.
• Collaborate effectively with Product, Design, and engineering teams to translate feature requirements into working software.
• Manage feature delivery from inception to production and provide mentorship to interns or junior developers.

Qualifications & Skills

• 1+ years of experience in building full-stack web applications.
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 (Flexbox/Grid).
• Advanced experience with React (Hooks, Context, Router) or a similar modern UI framework.
• Hands-on experience with state management patterns (e.g., Redux, MobX, custom solutions).
• Strong backend development skills in Node.js (Express/Fastify) or Python (Django/Flask/FastAPI).
• Expertise in designing REST and/or GraphQL APIs and integrating with backend services.
• Solid understanding of SQL databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and familiarity with NoSQL stores (Elasticsearch, Redis).
• Experience with build tools (Webpack, Vite), package managers (npm/Yarn), and Git workflows.
• Skilled in writing and maintaining tests using Jest, React Testing Library, Pytest, and Cypress.
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins), and basic cloud deployment concepts.
• A product-first mindset with strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
