Full stack Engineer .

Position Overview

We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to develop scalable server-side applications using Node.js and integrate them with various databases and APIs. You will collaborate closely with designers, developers, and business analysts within our fast-paced news environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining high-performance, scalable backend applications in Node.js
• Integrating server-side code with SQL/NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL) and external APIs
• Building robust RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
• Writing clean, efficient code adhering to best practices and participating in peer reviews
• Developing automated testing suites to ensure reliability
• Optimizing application performance and scalability on cloud platforms like AWS/GCS (Lambda, API Gateways)
• Troubleshooting issues promptly and collaborating effectively across teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of professional experience with Node.js backend development (minimum 8-9 total if combining frontend)
• Strong proficiency in SQL and NoSQL database technologies
• Familiarity with Single Page Application (SPA) concepts, preferably Vue/Svelte/Angular or similar frameworks like Tailwind/UnoCSS
• Solid understanding of software design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and product development cycles
• Experience working in Agile environments with strong problem-solving skills

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Knowledge of CDN systems and cache management
• Familiarity with CSS frameworks like Tailwind or UnoCSS
• Cross-functional experience across the full stack (frontend/backend)

About The Role Environment:

This is a one-year, full-time contract position based in our small Delhi office. We value team players who can adapt to flexible schedules and thrive under pressure during tight news cycles. Evening, weekend, or holiday work may be required depending on project needs.
