Full Stack Developer

Wednesday Solutions is actively searching for experienced Senior Software Engineers to architect and deliver sophisticated full-stack digital products. This role emphasizes leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery without compromising quality. You will be instrumental across platform, product, and go-to-market strategies, taking ownership of backend systems, shaping frontend user experiences, making critical infrastructure decisions, and elevating the engineering standards for the team. The ideal candidate possesses a proven track record of designing scalable systems, successfully shipping products at scale, and understanding the comprehensive process required to achieve these milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product and Client Ownership: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for client engagements, gain a deep understanding of client businesses, contribute to product roadmap development, and translate ambiguous requirements into clear engineering plans. Confidently present and defend technical trade-offs and proactively identify risks during demos and reviews.
• Architecture and Judgment: Formulate and implement scalable architectural decisions. While AI can generate code, your role involves strategic direction: defining what to build, how components integrate, and knowing when to challenge assumptions. Evaluate architectural trade-offs, review technical requirement documents, and establish the technical vision for the team's execution.
• Full-stack Execution: Independently develop and deploy backend services, APIs, database schemas, and user-facing features. Utilize AI-assisted tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and Antigravity to achieve rapid development cycles typical of small, agile teams while maintaining high quality standards.
• Platform and Reliability: Manage cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and production systems. Establish robust practices for system monitoring, debugging, and incident response. Proactively anticipate and mitigate potential production issues.
• AI and Automation: Champion the integration of AI into products through LLM APIs, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows. Drive automation initiatives for both client-facing and internal processes. Possess a clear understanding of the strengths and limitations of AI tools.
• Raising the Engineering Bar: Act as a critical judgment layer for junior engineers employing AI tools for rapid development. Focus code reviews on correctness, scalability, and genuine understanding of the shipped code, rather than solely on stylistic aspects. Lead knowledge-sharing sessions and ensure effective onboarding of new team members.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of professional experience in software engineering, with demonstrated ownership of end-to-end production systems.
• Proven active usage of AI-powered Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as Cursor, Claude Code, Antigravity, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated system design capabilities, including experience in making architectural decisions and evaluating trade-offs.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms and deployment strategies.
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools for issue diagnosis and performance bottleneck identification.
• In-depth backend development expertise encompassing API design, databases, microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and message brokers.
• Production experience with at least two of the following communication protocols/styles: REST, GraphQL, or gRPC.
• A keen eye for user experience and a commitment to building exceptional user interfaces.
• A high aptitude for learning and rapid problem-solving.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with cloud architecture (AWS, GCP, Azure), including containerization and orchestration technologies.
• Familiarity with AI/Machine Learning concepts, including prompt engineering, embeddings, and agent frameworks like LangChain, CrewAI, and LangGraph.
• Experience with automation and workflow orchestration tools such as n8n, Make, or Zapier.
